Did ya miss me?

It has been awhile since I posted... just been really busy and well, that's about it...

My guild 'Unique Stitchers -n- More' asked me to do a trunk show for them to show all my hand knits. I was quite honored and flattered and agreed to do so.... here are some pictures that Clures Rhodes was kind enough to share with me....

a couple of my patterns

another one...

a cowl and my newest sock pattern soon to be released

my first felted purse... my own design

My husband's first sweater

Hubby says this is my 'deer in the headlights' look

My prized possession ~ Guinivere, a mystery stole

The ladies really seemed to enjoy my things, and several of them showed an interest in learning to knit socks!
I had a wonderful day... and look forward to spending more time with these ladies!!

Happy Hump Day...

Well... my sidebar counter says I am still getting visitors ~ maybe I should update? I really wish ya'll would say "howdy" or something when you stop by! LOL... let me know I'm not too terribly boring, tell me what you're knitting too?

Anywho...

I have 2 more patterns just about ready to go up ~ a sport/DK weight lace sock and a man's sock pattern! Well, it's made for a man, but would really be considered unisex I think... but my man's picky about making sure his socks are 'masculine' ~ no stripes, bright colors... and he really likes these and there aren't alot of men's patterns out there so here we go!

Unfortunately...

I can't show any pictures yet because my camera got gone at an Old Crow Medicine Show concert last month... have to replace it soon. The concert was awesome just too bad about that camera... more than that the pictures that were on it were amazing! Ugh!! Oh well... I had a great time anyways...

Off to guild meeting I go... I'll try to get back into posting more often and get some pictures!

God bless you and yours abundantly!!

It's Friday!!

I managed to get my new pattern, Ozark Ripples, up for sale!
I will be wearing the sample socks to church this evening. We are having guest speakers for a special service tonight. They will also be doing some special seminars tomorrow on prayer needs for our US borders down at Mexico and one on worship in the afternoon.

We went to the JennCria Alpaca Ranch yesterday. Mom had told me Llamas... LOL... but I think alpacas are cuter anyways...

I love their faces, the brown one appears to be grinning!

A beautiful almost black one (there were 2 of them)

A rare Peruvian Gray Suri

My son got to pet one, mcuh softer than they look!

I love that face! He is one of the prize studs...

Jonathan got to collect eggs, the nice lady let him keep them!

I got yarn for my birthday from my Mother-in-Law!
70% Rare Suri Alpaca, 30% hand-painted bamboo
It was a wonderful day ~ a very nice, clean ranch. I look forward to getting more yarn from her in the future!

It's My Birthday!

It's been a very good day so far! God is so awesome!

I finished my "Ozark Ripples" pattern ~

The Glamour Shot... LOL...
I should be releasing the pattern later today... just a few tweaks and adding some pics and then it will be available for purchase on my right hand side-bar...

The pattern features an Eye of Partridge heel and rounded toe (some call it a wedge toe) I'm very pleased with these... great use for those self striping yarns!

I'm going with my Mother-in-Law and youngest son to a Llama farm today, should be great fun! I'll share some pictures when I return home ~ hopefully with some new fiber-y goodness!

What a beautiful day!

The sun is shining ~ and it's getting hotter! I think our pool will get set up this coming weekend! Wahoo!

Had a wonderful holiday weekend, spent it with family. We went to our daughter's house and spent the day yesterday fishing and swimming and eating... delightful ~
Our youngest son, grandaughter, and grandson having lunch
My beautiful daughter and Bobby Joe
Future son-in-law's family pond
Fun in the water!
My ONLY catch of the day
One of the catfish hubby caught
We are so blessed.... I thank God for all of my family... we have wonderful children and beautiful grandchildren, I couldn't ask for anything more!

On the knitting front ~
I just turned the heels of my Ozark Ripples socks, getting closer to publishing that pattern!
Working my way down the foot of the sport weight pattern (still un-named) so getting closer to publishing that pattern too!
AND.... I charted out a new pattern this morning too! Very Excited about getting to that one, I think it's going to gorgeous! I have chosen a bright red Frog Tree yarn for that one but trying to be  a good girl and finish the first 2 before I cast on for this one! It's very hard I tell you! LOL....

Memorial Day Weekend...

And it's finally HOT outside!
I can't believe the weather this year ~ usually by now we'd have been in our pool at least a couple times... this year it hasn't been warm enough to even think about getting the pool ready... maybe now we can.

I have been busy knitting though...

These socks are samples for another pattern I'm writing up. They are sport weight and working up fairly quickly and I really like the stitch pattern, kind of lacy... Hope to have them done very soon, but I'm also working on this...

It's a Prayer Shawl I'm making for a very dear little lady we call "Miss Martha". She used to attend Big Rock Church with us, but her children asked her to move closer to them... quite a ways from us ~ understandable, but we miss her very much! So... my mother-in-law bought the yarn and asked me to knit it up as a gift from both of us... I can't wait to finish it and send little Miss Martha a very special 'hug' from us.
It's going to need to be steam-blocked when it's finished to open up the lace more, but I'm very pleased with the way it's turning out...

Make sure to remember and honor our lost soldiers and Veterans this weekend... without their sacrifices we would not have the freedoms we do! Many members of my family (both blood and married in) served in the military, and I thank them for all they did...... God bless you all more than abundantly!!

I'm blessed with my very own Veteran... My Husband.... US Navy...

So many hurting...

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
